Guest Speaker: Tekoa Pouerie

Tekoa Pouerie is an empowerment speaker, non-profit senior executive, and community advocate. With over 20 years of experience in the non-profit sector, Tekoa has dedicated herself to various causes, including domestic violence awareness, youth crime prevention, adverse childhood experiences, disproportionate minority contact, and trauma-informed care. 

Tekoa is currently the Vice President of Resource Development at Pace Center for Girls, Inc. Tekoa focuses on supporting girls and helping entities understand the unique barriers they face. With over 4,000 girls and 21 Pace centers, she advocates and raises funds that support a budget of $70 million annually.

Tekoa provides executive coaching to the next generation of female leaders, helping them navigate their professional paths with confidence and courage. She is also committed to reducing disproportionality. She has trained over 11,000 individuals, including medical professionals, corporate executives, law enforcement officers, trial lawyers, and HR professionals. She continues to be an advocate for marginalized communities.

Recognized for her outstanding work, Tekoa has earned prestigious accolades, including the NBA Social Justice Game Changer Award, Onyx Magazine's Women on the Move Honoree recognition, and the Orlando Business Journal Champion of Diversity Award.
